GREETINGS to all golfers, sponsors and donors of past Rotary Pot of Gold Charity Golf Tournaments. Over the past 27 years, with your support we have been able to produce an event that puts the ‘fun‘ into fundraising for charities in New Westminster. AND we could not have done it without your support. Many of you have been participating each year since the first tournament in 1996! Although some aspects of the tournament have changed over the years, one has been a constant (in addition to great weather) …. the organizers and beneficiaries have been able to rely on your contributions to improve our community. Last year we were able to net about $40,000. And the total for all tournaments is almost $665,000 over the years. All invested back into the community; yours and ours.

We would like to extend an invitation to you to participate again on JULY 16, 2024 at Mayfair Lakes Golf Club in Richmond.
In addition to the fabulous golf with friends, family and colleagues, you have 4 opportunities to win a Hole-in-One prize (cash, car or?) valued up to $50,000! There will be a contest on each par 3 hole, with potentially 8 winners! And it can be done!! One year, a golfer won a $15,000 diamond ring for his fiance!! And we will have delicious food on the course, the usual contests & prizes, and mouth-watering buffet at the banquet. Following up on last year’s success, we will have an online auction (July 6 to July 27) so you can bid at your leisure from home.
Attached are sponsor/donor & golfer forms you can use to participate again this year. We look forward to your early response. Download 2024 Registration Form

26th ANNUAL ROTARY POT OF GOLD CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT in photos
The Royal City Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of New Westminster continue to put the fun into fundraising!!
Other on-course activities included the usual long drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin, and putting contests, as well as a chipping contest run by 2 of the BC Lions’ Felions. Excellent on-course food offerings included Kelly O’Bryan’s, Me-N-Eds pizza, Save on Foods lunches, Boathouse and Salvation Army. The golfers, volunteers and guests enjoyed a delicious post-golf buffet at Mayfair Lakes, and appreciated an early night.
Above is a photo taken at the tournament by Gabor Gasztonyi, Rotarian. The “Payne Stewart-wannabe” in orange plus-4s and tam with Felions Darby and April-Lynne is none other than Royal City Rotary’s one and only, current Past President, Roy Prevost, who blessed us with some haute couture on the day.

The Royal City Rotary Club together with the Rotary Club of New Westminster invite you to participate in the 27th Annual Pot of Gold Charity Golf Tournament. Some of the beneficiaries in our community in the past have included Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation, Queen’s Park Healthcare Foundation, St Mary’s Health Foundation, Tim Hortons Children’s Foundation, West Coast Kids’ Charity and Pathfinder Youth Centre Society, among others. Royal City Rotary’s principal focus has been on programs for youth in the New Westminster area, and we will continue to promote them. The Rotary Club of New Westminster will be supporting youth programs as well as medical clinics in developing countries. Again this year, the two local Rotary Clubs wil also donate part of the net proceeds to Salvation Army New Westminster and the Lower Mainland Purpose Society (an alternate education facility) to further their valuable work with individuals facing their own challenges in the community. Past tournaments have been sold out. We hope to repeat that success this year.
